Girardi honored with alumni award by Loyola High School

On Nov. 10, John A. Girardi, partner at Girardi Keese and Loyola High School alumnus, '65, was honored with the Cahalan Award during an alumni awards dinner on Loyola High School's Los Angeles campus. The Cahalan Award, named in honor of former Loyola High School President Patrick J. Cahalan, S.J., is presented annually to Loyola alumni in recognition of their service to Loyola and its community, the city of Los Angeles, the state of California and the United States. In addition, John T. Malloy, '61, Donald E. Swartz, '64, and Rev. John P. McGarry, S.J., '80, were also honored with the Cahalan Award. Girardi is a member of Loyola High School's Board of Regents, the vice president for class leaders of the Alumni Association and the chair of Loyola's upcoming sesquicentennial celebration. "[John's] work on our Board has been invaluable, and his enthusiastic 'yes' to chair Loyola's Sesquicentennial celebration will ensure its success," said the Rev. Gregory Goethals, S.J., president of Loyola High School. "His law career exemplifies who he is, with his desire to help others, argue on their behalf and lighten their burden. Jack is a gift to our community and to Southern California."
