Hurricane Sandy brought, by many estimates, the worst storm destruction ever seen in the Northeast corridor of the U.S. I have heard early reports estimating the damage from $20 to $50 billion. While insurance companies will pay claims depending upon the "cause" of any damage, a home or business owner will see destruction of their life and livelihood.
