High Court Rejects Development Over Inadequate Water Planning

The state Supreme Court on Thursday threw out Sacramento County's 2002 approval of a massive 22,000-home development in Rancho Cordova, saying developers failed to identify long-term water sources for the project and did not adequately address the impact of increased water demand on endangered salmon in the Cosumnes River.
