First Impression

The California Court of Appeal recently issued a far-reaching employment-law decision involving wage-hour law. In Bell v. Farmers Insurance Exchange, 2001 DJDAR 2335 (Cal. App. March 5, 2001), a case of first impression, the court laid out the ground rules for when an employee is exempt from the state's overtime pay law.
