Interim U.S. Attorney Taps New Chief

He's still just a temp, but interim San Francisco U.S. Attorney Scott N. Schools is moving ahead with the permanent appointments of key positions in the office. A day after his prosecutors secured the first criminal conviction for stock-options backdating in the country, Schools announced Wednesday that Assistant U.S. Attorney Brian Stretch would become the Northern District’s new criminal division chief, effective Monday.
