      The recent increase in salary to $160,000 for first-year associates at top law firms is spreading across the pond. Law.com reports that London firms, in response to the U.S. move, have boosted newly qualified attorneys from 75,000 to 90,000 British pounds ($179,000 U.S.) per year.
