Jury Orders Insurer to Pay $7.2 Million to Manufacturer

An insurer that failed to settle a personal-injury lawsuit within the limits of its policy must pay $7.2 million to an Emeryville maker of cardboard box stackers, under a verdict reached by a jury in Minnesota.

      An insurer that failed to settle a personal-injury lawsuit within the limits of its policy must pay $7.2 million to an Emeryville maker of cardboard box stackers, under a verdict reached by a jury in Minnesota.
      Geo. M. Martin Co. won $5 million in damages plus $2.2 million in interest as a result of its bad-faith suit against Royal Insurance Co....
