San Diego lawyers, retired judges spread word about bench candidates' qualifications
Thursday's gathering came less than three weeks before voters' Nov. 6 choice between Deputy District Attorney Robert Amador and El Cajon attorney Jim Miller for a San Diego County judgeship.

SAN DIEGO - In June, Ramona attorney Gary Kreep beat longtime San Diego County prosecutor Garland Peed by a razor-thin margin to capture a seat on the county's bench.
