Artful Dodge Can't Escape Decades of Precedent on Prosecutorial Limits

Forum Column - By David Coleman - Monterey County prosecutors filed a felony criminal complaint against Carmelita Viray in People v. Viray , 134 Cal.4th 1186 (2005). When Viray came to court for her arraignment - prior to her appearance in the courtroom - the prosecutor who filed the charge took her aside for an interrogation session.
