Dismissal of Oil Company Conspiracy Case Upheld

SAN FRANCISCO - Plaintiffs' attorneys have failed to prove that nine oil giants conspired to bilk consumers by raising gasoline prices in the early 1990s, a unanimous California Supreme Court decided Thursday in an opinion designed to clarify the state's summary judgment statutes.
