Telling It Like It Isn't

There's a Credence Clearwater Revival line about "some folks inherit star spangled eyes, they'll lead you down to war, and when they play 'Hail to the Chief', they'll point the cannon at you ... but when the taxman comes to the door, they all make the house look like a rummage sale." That's Credence's lyricist and lead singer John Fogerty's "Fortunate Son" about a fictional rich kid who didn't want to go and fight in Vietnam.
