Wage-and-hour lawyers rethink their practice

Plaintiffs' employment lawyers at Hurwitz, Orihuela & Hayes are considering broading their practice in light of recent court decisions and delays in getting trial dates in state court.

UNIVERSAL CITY - The jury is still out on whether workers will be allowed to continue filing wage-and-hour class actions in California, a state that so far has tended to favor employees in such cases.


But partners Cory H. Hurwitz, Nicolas Orihuela and Douglas B. Hayes at three-lawyer plaintiff-side employment boutique Hurwitz, Orihuela & Hayes LLP said they aren't taking any chances.
