DA Denies He Knew Staff Misuse Was Illegal

SAN DIEGO - District Attorney Paul Pfingst's top aide disciplined former chief economic fraud prosecutor Peter Longanbach in 1998 for using county secretaries for private business, but neither Pfingst nor the aide believed Longanbach's actions were criminal at the time, according to their testimony.
