Lawyers Race To Do Deals Before Writers Strike Hits

For the hundreds of entertainment lawyers working in Los Angeles, the concept of a work stoppage has been very, very good for business. In anticipation of a possible labor strike by the Writers Guild of America on May 1 and/or the Screen Actors Guild and the American Federation of Radio and Television Artists shutting down film and television sets on June 30 when their respective contracts expire, the studios have been cranking film production through the pipeline.
