I have been wondering lately if acting skills are useful to judges. Forrest McDonald, in his book "The American Presidency: An Intellectual History," had this to say about acting and leadership: "[George] Washington was able to succeed, partly because of a natural gravity and dignity combined with simplicity of tastes and manners, but more importantly because he was a consummate actor who had self-consciously been role-playing throughout his adult life."
