With summer associate programs for 2011 in the books and firms already on law school campuses recruiting for 2012, hiring appears to have stabilized after wild fluctuations in the immediate wake of the 2008 recession.
Law firms are reporting larger summer classes and elevated hiring rates after those figures had plummeted with a decreased demand for legal counsel in the contracting economy.
