Prosecutors will retry lawyer in money laundering case

Prosecutors plan to retry a San Jose lawyer for conspiracy to launder money after the judge determined last month she deserved a new trial.

Prosecutors plan to retry a San Jose lawyer for conspiracy to launder money after the judge determined last month she deserved a new trial due to errors in the first trial's jury instructions.

Jamie L. Harley, a criminal defense attorney who was known as Jamie Harmon at the time of her indictment, was suspended from the practice of law last fall following her July 2010 conviction on five counts of money laundering.
