Like father like son in tobacco damages case

Dylan Boeken lost his father to lung cancer when he was just 10 years old, but he's followed in his dad's footstep by scoring a $12.8 million verdict against tobacco giant Philip Morris USA Inc.

LOS ANGELES - Dylan Boeken lost his father to lung cancer when he was just 10, but he's followed in his dad's footsteps in an unusual fashion.


His father won a $3 billion lawsuit against the tobacco industry for the harm smoking caused his body. This month, Dylan scored a $12.8 million win himself in a separate lawsuit against Phillip Morris USA Inc. for his father's wrongful death.
