Former NUMMI workers reach settlement

Disabled auto workers will receive $6 million in a settlement with their former employer.

New United Motor Manufacturing Inc., Toyota Motor Corp. and Toyota Motor Sales USA Inc. agreed to pay a group of disabled auto workers $6 million to settle claims they were unfairly excluded from severance benefits when the NUMMI plant closed last year.
