Suit blames lawyers for judge's delay

When a state court judge filed a defense-friendly ruling a day late, the two Southern California law firms who won that decision are now fighting off a legal malpractice lawsuit.

LOS ANGELES - Can a law firm be held accountable for the inaction or error of the judge on its case?


That's essentially the question posed by an unusual lawsuit filed last month in Los Angeles County Superior Court that alleges malpractice by well-known appellate firm Horvitz & Levy LLP and employment lawyers at Strapp & Strapp.
