California court system in free-fall - time to re-think your lawsuit?

California lawyers are bracing for the impact of the latest cutbacks in funding for the state's court system. In June, Sacramento took back $350 million in previously allocated court operations funds, and another $310 million, allocated for court building and maintenance programs. When added to previous cuts over the last few years, the courts' budget has been cut by at least 30 percent.
