OC Sees Positive Office Absorption Both Quarters of 2003

Corporations seem loath to take on additional space in these economically sluggish times. But the Orange County office market managed to soak up half-a-million square feet of net absorption in the second quarter, according to a report by Voit Commercial Brokerage.

The vacancy rate, meanwhile, inched down to 13.9 percent from 14.2 percent in the previous quarter, and 14.3 percent in the second quarter of 2002....
