Even '800-Pound Gorillas' Deserve Some Basic Civility

Berger, May 19) purported to tell the story of a lawsuit that Berger's law firm handled for his client, 99 Only Stores, against the city of Lancaster. The case involved the extent to which a city can use eminent-domain powers. Although Costco Wholesale was not a party to the litigation, we definitely were involved because our desire to either expand or relocate our Lancaster location started the whole thing.
