Starting July 1, all owners of nonresidential buildings in California over 5,000 square feet will be required to disclose energy consumption data to a prospective buyer, lessee or lender of the entire building. These same energy reporting requirements kicked in for buildings over 10,000 square feet on Jan. 1.
