Encino lawyers group supports homeless aid

The Encino Lawyers Association gathered at The Elbow Room on Ventura Boulevard earlier this month to help raise funds for Hope Mill Inc., a local homeless charity that fills backpacks with daily essentials such as socks, personal hygiene items and blankets. Local charitable organizations then distribute the packs. "We can't thank the Encino Lawyers enough," Hope Mill co-founder Pearl Huber said in a statement. "There's so much more need than there are resources." The lawyers association's treasurer, Bill Daniels handed over the checks, cash and donated goods to the Hope Mill team. "It's fantastic how a small group of local professionals can pitch in to make a difference in our community," he said. — Ben Adlin
