ABA lauds local litigator for public service work
Martin R. Glick recently received the John Minor Wisdom Public Service and Professionalism Award from the American Bar Association's Section of Litigation. Glick, a litigator who has advised Amazon.com Inc., Major League Baseball and the manufacturer of the video game cheat system Game Genie, was recognized for his accomplishments helping less glamorous clients and furthering the equality of justice by making legal assistance more accessible to the poor. Glick is on the board of governors for Public Advocates, a San Francisco-based nonprofit law firm that battles systemic poverty and racial discrimination. He's also served at the U.S. Department of Justice, California Rural Legal Assistance and the California Employment Development Department. — Joshua Sebold
