Standing up for immigrants in court

Starting next year, California will no longer permit evidence of a plaintiff's immigration status in personal injury lawsuits. Assembly Bill 2159, authored by Assemblymember Lorena Gonzalez, overturns a 30-year-old case - Rodriguez v. Kline, 186 Cal.
