Supreme Court Sends Energy Contracts Back
The U.S. Supreme Court ruled Thursday that California and other western states should get a second chance to escape from unfavorable long-term electricity contracts they negotiated with wholesale power suppliers during the 2000-01 energy crisis, though the high court’s decision may make it difficult for the states to prevail.
