Juried Out?

By Marvin E. Krakow. The U.S. Supreme Court just held that an employee with a discrimination claim has a right to a jury trial in Reeves v. Sanderson Plumbing Products Inc., 2000 Daily Journal D.A.R. 6199 (June 12, 2000). This may come as a surprise to a number of reluctant judges and to the management bar, which eggs them on at the expense of basic fairness.
