Private Hospital Wants Ventura Tobacco Money

VENTURA - The $260 billion national tobacco settlement was supposed to be a boon to local government, enabling public agencies to recoup the costs of smoking-related illnesses. But if a private hospital has its way, Ventura County will see none of its $10 million annual share of the payout.
