Freeway Accident Brings $13 Million Pact

LOS ANGELES - A freak highway accident in Irvine that left a motorist brain damaged has resulted in a $13 million settlement. The accident occurred Jan. 9, 2001, when a big rig wheel broke off its axle and struck a pickup truck driven by Philip Dorhman, 39, in a northbound lane on the Santa Ana Freeway.
