Santa Clara judge withheld evidence as a prosecutor

SAN FRANCISCO - A Santa Clara County deputy district attorney who is now a judge played a key role in willful prosecutorial misconduct that put a man on death row for 25 years, the state Supreme Court held Monday in granting the San Quentin inmate a new shot at life.
