San Diego Justice organizations guide juvenile offenders down positive paths

This week, the San Diego Superior Court, district attorney’s office and public defender’s office, worked with various public and private organizations to present the fourth annual Passport to Life Career and Education Expo. The event focused on the importance of finishing high school, higher education and work-readiness skills for individuals with juvenile records as they transition into adulthood. Juvenile Court Judge Carolyn M. Caietti worked on the project for the fourth year in a row. “It is exciting to see so many youth and justice partners come together for this event,” said Judge Caietti. “Every year, more and more people volunteer, and this sends the message to probation youth that we believe they can succeed.”
