Cameras to Enter Federal Courtrooms

The Northern District of California will allow cameras in the courtroom to record trials and other proceedings starting July 18, the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts announced Wednesday.

WASHINGTON - The Northern District of California will allow cameras in the courtroom to record trials and other proceedings starting July 18, the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts announced Wednesday.


The district will be one of 14 federal trial courts nationwide participating in a three-year pilot program to evaluate the effect of courtroom cameras.
