A federal court jury Tuesday convicted a Paso Robles woman on three felony counts in a scheme to defraud the U.S. Department of Education by applying for a $35 million youth services grant based on forged signatures.
The Riverside jury found Jean Michele Cross, 59, guilty of mail fraud, forging a writing to obtain money from the federal government and making false statements in her March 2007 attempt to secure the funding...
