Federal Judge Dies While Fly-Fishing With Friends

LOS ANGELES - Judge Albert Lee Stephens Jr., who was named to the federal bench in Los Angeles in 1961, died Thursday while on an annual fly-fishing trip to the High Sierra with some of his former law clerks and other friends. He was 88.
