In his jeremiad against the tort system titled "Excessive Verdicts Affect Both 'Real People' and 'the Powerful'" (Forum, Aug. 29), Jeremy B. Rosen writes that the tort system is out of control, rife with frivolous litigation, tilted against corporate defendants and a burden to our economy. The facts, however, prove the opposite.
