CVS Admits Blame in Drug Case

The pharmacy giant struck a $77.6 million agreement to ward off any federal criminal charges related to its sale of pseudoephedrine.

LOS ANGELES - CVS Pharmacy Inc. struck a $77.6 million agreement to ward off federal criminal charges for failing to adequately monitor the sale of pseudoephedrine - an over-the-counter cold medicine and a key ingredient in methamphetamine production.
