Prosecutors Can Retry Woman While Appealing

SAN FRANCISCO - Charting unfamiliar legal waters, a Sonoma County judge ruled Thursday that prosecutors could retry the defendant in a 1991 murder case while simultaneously appealing a federal judge's decision to set aside her first conviction in the same killing.
