MEN AT WORK

The Employers Group legal committee says that in California's legal and political climate, employment law favors labor over management, making the state a barren and inhospitable place to do business. The legal committee has made a name for itself in the case-law arena by filing amicus briefs in landmark employment cases like Foley v. Interactive Data Corp ., 47 Cal. 3d (1988), which essentially eliminated emotional distress damages in employment cases.
