L.A. Council Delays Action on Supporting Bill That Would Outlaw Racial Profiling

Attempts at the state level to put an end to race-based policing remain caught in the swirl of local politics. Late last week, the Los Angeles City Council postponed until Friday a proposal to back SB66, sponsored by state Sen. Kevin Murray, D-Culver City, which would outlaw "racial profiling."
