State Bar's Discipline Proposal Would Require Admitting Guilt
SAN FRANCISCO - Attorneys in hot water with the State Bar could soon find themselves uttering two words: mea culpa. Included in the State Bar's latest proposal to tweak its discipline system is a provision that, if approved, would require attorneys who wish to resign with charges pending against them to either admit their misconduct or plead no contest.
