Port of Oakland Loses Out on Cleanup Costs

SAN FRANCISCO - The Port of Oakland's failure to make sure the public had a chance to comment on a plan to clean up thousands of tons of lead-contaminated fill near San Francisco Bay has cost the agency a chance to recover more than $10 million that it spent on the project.
