Experts: Judge likely to approve new pact between the NFL and injured players

Lawyers for 4,500 retired players agreed to settle claims against the league with an uncapped fund that will last 65 years. The new agreement must still be approved by a federal judge in Pennsylvania.

A judge is more likely to approve a new settlement announced Wednesday in litigation over the brain injury claims of thousands of retired NFL players than a previous resolution the court did not sanction, experts said.
