A group of drivers is duking it out with Lyft Inc. over whether California law can apply to out-of-state drivers in a lawsuit against the popular rideshare application.
The argument arose out of a proposed class action filed by the drivers alleging Lyft has misclassified them as independent contractors when in fact they are employees. The proposed class is nationwide, potentially extending California...
