Supreme Court clarifies role of bankrupcy judges

The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday limited litigants' ability to hop between bankruptcy court and district court when it upheld a 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruling closing a perceived statutory gap in bankruptcy law.

A unanimous U.S. Supreme Court closed a perceived statutory gap in bankruptcy law Monday by limiting litigants' ability to hop between bankruptcy court and district court for certain types of matters.
