LA incumbent could lose his seat after Tuesday's primary
Only one incumbent California judge appears in line to lose re-election to the bench, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge James B. Pierce, although the race is extremely tight. Two other judges are headed for runoffs.

A 24-year veteran of Los Angeles County Superior Court was trailing in voting Wednesday and could lose his seat to a longtime prosecutor - the only incumbent judge in danger among 13 on ballots across the state after Tuesday's primary election.
