S&P defense strategy appears to be to spread the blame

With discovery in full swing, ratings agency Standard & Poor's defense strategy is starting to materialize as it fights to beat back Justice Department allegations that its ratings practices were collusive and a precipitating factor in the 2008 financial collapse.
