JDS Enters a New Phase With Acquisition of E-Tek
San Jose's JDS Uniphase Corp. and E-tek Dynamics Inc. have reached a merger agreement. Under the terms of the deal, JDS will trade 1.1 shares of its common stock for each share of E-tek. The merger is valued at $15 billion.
