Central District To Consider Patent Rules

Judges in the Central District of California in 2011 will consider rules establishing a standard procedure for each patent case filed there, a response to critics who say its handling of such lawsuits is hobbled by inconsistent procedures.

Federal judges in the Central District of California in 2011 will consider rules establishing a standard procedure for each patent case filed there, a response to critics who say its handling of such lawsuits is hobbled by inconsistent procedures.


Chief Judge Audrey Collins said the district's rules committee, headed by U.S. District Judge Christina Snyder, would take up the matter.
